On January 7, his agency Content Y announced that rather than waiting for his draft notice, the actor has volunteered to begin his military service soon. His enlistment is scheduled for February, and Lee Hyun Woo plans on sharing the specifics with his fans directly.

The agency added, “He will diligently complete his military duties and continue as an actor when he returns.”
