Won Jin Ah Talks About Being Praised For Drama Debut "Just Between Lovers"

On January 9, JTBC’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Just Between Lovers” held a press conference, where rookie actress Won Jin Ah talked about being praised for her acting in her drama debut.

“Just Between Lovers” is about a tough young man (Lee Kang Doo, played by Junho) and an architect who hides her pain but dreams of living a normal life (Ha Moon Soo, played by Won Jin Ah). The drama follows the two as they meet, love, and embrace each other’s wounds. The drama has aired up to nine episodes so far and has received much praise.

Rookie actress Won Jin Ah made a splash, as she was cast as the lead actress for her drama debut. With her fresh face, stable voice, and natural acting, she added her own beautiful color to the drama and received praise from viewers. She commented, “As it was a half pre-produced drama, I can’t believe how fast time has gone. There isn’t a lot of filming left, and I feel regretful as I keep thinking, ‘I should have done better,’ or ‘I should have enjoyed it more.’ When I look back, I was so lucky to have met such good seniors.”

Won Jin Ah also addressed being praised for her natural acting. She shared, “I think because it is my first time being seen by people, it is easier for viewers to immerse themselves into Moon Soo. And because the character is one that doesn’t exactly express herself clearly, it’s a bit difficult to portray her. On the set, the director and my seniors all give me a lot of help. I’m acting through the help I’m receiving around me.”

She also thanked viewers and commented on the drama. The actress stated, “I’d like to thank viewers for seeing me as Moon Soo. This is my first project, so I think it’s really important, and I am so lucky to have found such a lyrical and deep work to introduce myself. The script itself is so great. The dialogue and expressions are such that they can’t be seen as anything but sincere.”

“Just Between Lovers” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 11 p.m. KST.
