Watch: MeloMance Sings Sweet Love Song For "Hwayugi"

MeloMance, the trendiest duo of 2017, is the third group to sing the OST of tvN’s “Hwayugi.”

On January 13, CJ E&M Entertainment released MeloMance’s sweet new track “I Will Be By Your Side.”

“I Will be By Your Side” was written, composed, and instrumentally recorded by MeloMance themselves. The track represents the heart-pounding romance between Oh Yeon Seo‘s and Lee Seung Gi‘s characters in “Hwayugi.”

The track gained popularity even before its release after being played in romantic scenes between the two protagonists, who met each other through inevitable fate, but slowly started to fall for each other.

The lyrics to the song goes, “You become my love, you become my world. I don’t dislike what is happening to me right now. I will always be by your side.”

“Hwayugi” was inspired by the ancient novel “Journey to the West.” It tells the story of cheeky goblin Son Oh Gong and gentleman-like goblin Woo Ma Wang, who try to find light in a world full of darkness.
