T-ara Members' Lawyer Denies Rumors Of Disbandment

T-ara has denied rumors of disbandment.

On January 22, the lawyer representing Hyomin, Qri, Jiyeon, and Eunjung stated to news outlet YTN Star, “After confirming with the members, the rumors that the four members of T-ara will not be promoting together are false. They plan to promote as four members, as T-ara.”

It was previously rumored that while the members were working out the details after leaving MBK Entertainment, the four members decided to split up due to differing opinions. Their lawyer denied this and stated, “We are, of course, still in the process of appeals and submitting grounds for refusal of MBK’s application for trademark of T-ara’s name.”

T-ara debuted in 2009 and have promoted with numerous hit songs such as “Bo Peep Bo Peep,” “Roly Poly,” and more. After former members Boram and Soyeon ended their contracts last May, the other members (Hyomin, Jiyeon, Eunjung, and Qri) continued promotions together as a four-membered group. The four members’ contracts ended last year in December.

MBK Entertainment applied for trademark of the name T-ara on December 28. In response, the T-ara members filed documentation outlining grounds for the rejection of the agency’s application.
