NU'EST's JR Gets Advice From SEVENTEEN's Mingyu For "Law Of The Jungle"

NU’EST’s JR is ready to take on the jungle.

On January 31, SBS’s “Law of the Jungle in Patagonia” released a self-filmed video of JR packing for his trip into the wilderness, with the help of fellow NU’EST member Ren.

JR stated, “It’s the first time that the NU’EST members will be apart for this long.” Ren commented, “We’ve been together for 10 years. It feels bittersweet, but I also believe he’ll do well. Being physically healthy is the best and adjusting to the jungle is important.”

As someone who has been on the show, SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu gave JR some useful advice as well during their phone call. He shared, “It helps if you bring really commonplace objects. Rather than sunblock cream, bring the stick version.” He explained that in the jungle, your hands constantly get dirty and so using a stick instead of cream was much easier.

After listening to advice from various people, JR eventually packed swimming fins, fuel, a whistle, a compass, a rash guard, heated underwear, and clothes suitable for mountains. He then commented, “I’m not scared of the jungle anymore.”

“Law of the Jungle in Patagonia” will air its first episode on February 2 at 10 p.m. KST. Along with JR, other cast members include Kim Sung Ryung, Kim Seung Soo, Hong Jin Young, DIA’s Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Dong Jun, Jo Jae Yoon, MONSTA X’s Minhyuk, Kim Jong Min, SF9’s Rowoon, Kim Jin Kyung, and Jo Yoon Woo.
