Lee Seung Gi, Kang Min Hyuk, And Their Co-Stars Share Filming Stories And Thoughts On Fortune-Telling

Lee Seung Gi, Shim Eun Kyung, CNBLUE’s Kang Min Hyuk, and Jo Bok Rae appeared on a Naver V Live broadcast to discuss their upcoming film.

On the February 12 live broadcast, the cast of the film “Princess and the Matchmaker” met with an audience and answered questions. The actors were first asked about their characters in the film.

Kang Min Hyuk plays the role of the most handsome man. When asked if he thinks he matches the description of his character, he answered, “The phrase ‘most handsome man’ has ‘handsome man’ in it. There are so many good-looking actors in Korea, so I think [I match] 30 percent of the phrase.”

Jo Bok Rae spoke humorously about the difference in how he and Lee Seung Gi were treated. He shared, “Lee Seung Gi was introduced to a specialist by the production company. Meanwhile, my character was a swindler so I used the internet to research.”

Lee Seung Gi added, “In my case, I needed a professional. In the past, I didn’t know the difference between psychic reading and fortune-telling.” The actor was then asked if he had ever gotten his fortune read. Lee Seung Gi replied, “I did for this film. It sounds like I’m bragging, but I only heard good things.”

Kang Min Hyuk revealed, “I lack creativity and that was exactly what I was told.” Shim Eun Kyung answered she had not had gotten her fortune read, saying, “If I hear what will happen in the future, then I think I will be anxious. I believe that I create my own destiny.”

She was also described as the “compatibility king” on the set of the film. The actress explained, “My personality is usually shy and quiet, but many people helped me to adapt well. When I get close to others, I become talkative,” and thanked the staff.

Shim Eun Kyung also chatted about her male co-stars on this film. She explained, “Yeon Woo Jin and I are from the same hometown. There was a moment when I was touched by his sincere personality and acting. Contrary to his cute looks, Choi Woo Shik‘s acting skills make him a versatile actor.”

About Kang Min Hyuk, who was seated next to her, she commented, “He is a well-mannered gentleman. I was touched by his generous actions and there were moments when my heart fluttered.”

When asked to explain what to watch for in the film, Lee Seung Gi stated, “It will premiere during the time when many of you are wondering how to start your new year. Many people go to get their fortune read around this time, but if you watch our film, it will be of great help. I guarantee a solid scenario and fun.”

“Princess and the Matchmaker” is a film set in the Joseon era that tells the story of a fortune teller who looks for the most compatible suitor for the princess, and will change the future of the Joseon Dynasty. The film will premiere in theaters in Korea on February 28.
