Namgoong Min Considers Lead Role In Upcoming SBS Drama

Namgoong Min may be the lead actor in a new drama.

The actor recently received an offer to appear in SBS’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “Hoon Nam Jung Eum” (literal title) as the lead Hoon Nam. If confirmed, this will mark Namgoong Min’s return to TV after six months, following his success in 2017 with “Chief Kim” and “Distorted.”

On February 13, Namgoong Min’s agency 935 Entertainment confirmed the report and said, “‘Hoon Nam Jung Eum’ is one of the many offers he received. The plan and script are original, so he is positively reviewing it. Nothing has been confirmed and he is currently considering his next drama.”

“Hoon Nam Jung Eum” will tell the story of a man named Hoon Nam who is knowledgeable in the theory of love and a woman named Jung Eum whose main goals are love and marriage. It is written by Lee Jae Yoon, whose previous works include the drama “Tamra the Island” and films “Red Carpet” and “Fight.”

“Hoon Nam Jung Eum” will air in May after the end of “Return” and “Switch — Change the World” (literal title).
