EXO's Sehun Shares Warm Letter With Fans To Explain Decision To No Longer Accept Fan Gifts

EXO’s Sehun shared a warm message with fans and announced that he will no longer be accepting gifts from fans. He thanked fans for all of the love they have given him and expressed his hopes that both he and EXO-Ls can share that love with people in need of help in the future.

Fellow EXO members have made similar decisions in the past, with Xiumin penning a similar message earlier this month, Chen and D.O. making announcements in 2016, and Lay in 2015.

Sehun wrote, “I’m greeting EXO-Ls for the first time in a while, and I’m writing this letter because I’ve been having a lot of thoughts lately and I wanted to express them to you in words.”

He continued on to write, “Looking back on everything, I feel like I’ve received so much love, and I am always grateful to you all for that. But if I think about it, I think we would all feel warmer if we shared that love, not just with me, but with many other people, right? I’m personally doing my best to share that love, thought it may not be of much help.”

Sehun stated, “I think we would all be even happier than we are now if you shared that love you give to me to people who need it more than I do. There are many people around us who need more love.”

He wrote, “So from now on, I am thinking of only accepting your warm thoughts in lieu of gifts on my birthdays. I think that giving back to those in need and giving them hope will be the greatest birthday present that I can receive, and I think that will be something that both I and all the fans reading this can be so proud of. And I also wrote this letter because I wanted to express my thanks to you all.”

He concluded with, “Thank you for reading this. Always be healthy, and have a great time with your families. Happy Lunar New Year.”
