Idols Born In The Year Of The Dog Share Messages And Goals For 2018

It may already be the second month of 2018, but the Lunar New Year celebrations are currently underway in Korea. Meet the stars who were born in the year of the dog and their plans for 2018.

Suzy

“I hope 2018, the Year of the Golden Dog, will be full of good luck and blessings for everyone,” said Suzy.

She continued, “I was born in the year of the dog, so 2018, the Year of the Golden Dog, feels somewhat special to me. In 2017, I released my first solo album, and I kept busy through my appearance in the drama ‘While You Were Sleeping.’ I sincerely thank the fans who gave me lots of interest and love. In the Year of the Golden Dog, I am planning to promote even more actively as a singer and an actress. Happy New Year to everyone, and please stay healthy!”

GOT7’s Jinyoung

Jinyoung said, “2017, the Year of the Rooster, has ended, and it is now a new year. Rather than feel pressure at the start of a new year, I hope you will all enjoy more relaxing, fun experiences and thoughts and have a happy 2018. Happy New Year, and I hope you will always be healthy!”

He added, “I think it’s meaningful that I’m able to offer my New Year’s greetings to this many people. Above all, my fellow GOT7 member Jackson was also born in the year of the dog, so I think I will be able to spend a more meaningful and confident 2018.”

DAY6’s Wonpil

She also shared her plans for the year ahead, revealing, “My film ‘Woman’s Wail’ will be released, and I am planning to work hard at Apink’s promotions and the filming of various ads.”

VICTON’s Seungwoo

Seungwoo said, “Hello. This is VICTON’s year of the dog member Seungwoo~^^. They say 2018 is the Year of the Golden Dog. I will work even harder so that VICTON can shine brighter this year. Wanna One’s Ha Sung Woon

Red Velvet’s Seulgi

AOA’s Seolhyun

Seolhyun was born in the year 1995, but because she was born on January 3 (before the start of the next lunar year), she is considered to have been born in the year of the dog. She said, “Last year, I set goals to relax and to travel, and I fulfilled them. In 2018, I made resolutions to have a positive mindset and to be courageous enough to confront anything. I think 2017 was the preparation stage for my next opportunity. In 2018, I plan to be active with both AOA’s album promotions and individual promotions as well.”

She added, “I hope there will be more opportunities to show who I am as a person, and I want to learn more about myself through those opportunities.”

BTS’s J-Hope

Using his name to create an acrostic poem, RM wrote, “I don’t know, but I hope you will be happier in the future.”

He added, “As this year is the Year of the Golden Dog, I think I will be happy if everything works out well this year. I will use that energy to work harder. In the new year, I want to accomplish our goal of a world stadium tour.”
