Kang Sora In Talks For Upcoming Drama Based On Webtoon
Kang Sora is reportedly in talks for a role in webtoon-based fantasy-romance drama “Gyeryong Goddess” (working title). The webtoon started in March 2017 and is still be updating on a weekly basis.
On February 19, a source from her agency stated, “Kang Sora has received an offer for ‘Gyeryong Goddess’ and is reviewing the part.” It was revealed that the actress received an offer for the lead role Sun Ok Nam, a fairy who waits for her husband to be reincarnated while also searching for her lost clothes.
“Gyeryong Goddess” is based on a webtoon of the same name. The story follows a fairy who after losing her clothes while bathing, meets a woodcutter and marries him. After her husband’s accidental death, she waits for him to be reincarnated. She is a 699-year-old barista and to ordinary people appears very old, but to special people she appears young, and also has the ability to converse with plants.
The drama will be produced by JS Pictures and helmed by Producing Director Kim Yoon Chul and writer Yoo Kyung Sun. It is currently in talks to air on tvN.
