EXO's D.O., Park Hye Soo, And More Complete Filming For Upcoming Movie

Upcoming film “Swing Kids” has completed filming!

Set during the Korean War, the movie is about North Korean soldier Roh Ki Soo, played by D.O., and tap dance crew Swing Kids. The film also stars award-winning tap dancer and Hollywood actor Jared Grimes as the American sergeant Jackson who started the dance crew, Park Hye Soo as translator Yang Pan Rae, Oh Jung Se as Kang Byung Sam, and Kim Min Ho as a Chinese soldier.

“Swing Kids” completed four months of filming on February 20 in Anseong of Gyeonggi Province. The actors worked together for much longer, however, as they began practicing tap dancing together several months before filming started.

D.O. commented, “I still remember the first filming, and it hasn’t hit me yet that it’s over. The director, staff, and all the actors worked really hard. I want to express much gratitude to everyone.” Park Hye Soo continued, “I learned and gained a lot from this long amount of time. I will miss everyone a lot, and I hope we can meet again soon. Thank you.”

Jared Grimes shared that his first thought as filming ended was, “When will we get to meet again and work together?” Oh Jung Se revealed that it was a movie and character that he really wanted to do well, so he is thankful it ended successfully. Kim Min Ho added, “I am sad it’s over, and all I can say is that it hasn’t hit me yet.”

Director Kang Hyung Chul, who previously worked on “Speed Scandal,” “Sunny,” and “Tazza – The Hidden Card,” concluded, “I knew that a film is a work of art that is created together, but I learned even more from ‘Swing Kids.’ As my number of projects increases, I learn more and strongly feel how thankful I should be for staff and actors. I sincerely thank you, and I will continue to work hard on post-production.”“Swing Kids” is expected to be released in late 2018.
