UNI.T, the project group formed by the female winners of KBS’s idol rebooting project “The Unit,” have shared their plans and hopes for their upcoming promotions!

On March 3, before their sold-out fan meeting in Seoul, UNI.T held a press conference at which each of the nine members commented on how it felt to debut as part of the new project group.

Yang Jiwon remarked, “I didn’t know I’d end up living with this many dongsaengs. Maybe it’s because they’ve all promoted [as singers] before, but even though they’re younger than me, they’re all mature, and none of them whine or throw tantrums. Because they all have a diverse array of charms, each day is a happy one. I’ve returned to my initial mindset [as a singer] and am working hard.”

She also mentioned UNI.T’s upcoming album, promising, “We will prepare something in a style that suits our members and greet you with a new album.”

Woohee went on to reveal, “The album is scheduled to be released sometime around the end of April. We ask that you give it lots of anticipation.”

As for their group dynamic, Woohee happily reported, “I worried a lot about whether we’d be able to bond as a team, but we naturally got to know each other’s charms and learn each other’s strengths and weaknesses. So I think that became our group’s strength. I think we’ll be able to show you cooler performances [in the future].”

Euijin chimed in, “The members get along better than I expected. Even in the waiting room, we keep laughing and chatting loudly. I think we’ll have a lot of fun promoting together as UNI.T in the future, and I’m looking forward to it.”

ZN similarly agreed, “UNI.T’s members have really great personalities and such great teamwork. We’ll work hard, so please keep an eye on us.”

Many of the group members also shared that they hoped to win No. 1 on a music program or hit No. 1 on the music charts. Yoonjo commented, “Although it hasn’t been decided yet how long [we’ll promote together as a group], I really like our group members, so I want us to try our hardest until the very end and reach No. 1 no matter what.”

Lee Hyun Joo echoed her sentiments, saying, “I’d like it if UNI.T won No. 1,” while Yebin remarked, “I want us to be able to experience both No. 1 on a music chart and No. 1 on a music program.”

NC.A also confessed to feeling nervous about debuting in a group for the first time. “It’s my first time performing together with many people,” she said. “Because I’ve been a solo artist for a long time, I worry a lot that I’ll negatively impact the other members. I’m working hard to try and keep up.”

Meanwhile, Lee Suji expressed her excitement about the group’s upcoming release. “We ourselves can’t wait to see what kind of concept and performance we’ll be taking on,” she shared. “I hope you’ll keep an eye on us and cheer us on a lot in the future.”
