Watch: Ailee Performs New Co-Produced Song With Self-Written Lyrics Dedicated To Her Fans
Ailee shared her thoughts on her newest track “Shine.”
“Shine” is a track Ailee wrote in collaboration with MeloMance member Jung Dong Hwan on the KBS music variety show “Hyena on the Keyboard.” Ailee penned the lyrics and co-wrote the song with Jung Dong Hwan.
“Hyena on the Keyboard” is a reality music show-cumentary that follows artists known for producing music and shows the process of them creating new music with other artists. The artists then perform a completed track on the show, which is later released. The show first premiered as a Chuseok special last fall and became a part of regular programming in March.
On the March 9 episode, Ailee and Jung Dong Hwan completed their track and performed it for the first time on the show. The MCs and other artists watched in awe as Ailee put on a powerful performance of the touching song. After the track was released, Ailee posted a screenshot of its lyrics and shared her thoughts in Korean and English on Instagram.
The artist thanked her fans for inspiring her and dedicated the song to them with love.
