One Member Of Girl Group S2U To Take Hiatus From Promotional Activities After Car Accident

Rookie girl group S2U recently got into a car accident while on their way to a scheduled event.

S2U is currently promoting as part of the 2018 PyeongChang Paralympics’ official celebrity supporters group “White Tigers.” In February, after finishing a scheduled event in Gangneung and heading back to PyeongChang, their car hit another car that had stopped due to a personal accident, turning a 1-car collision into a 2-car collision. All the members were wearing seatbelts and the passengers of the first car were outside of the vehicle at the time of collision, so there were no fatalities.

However, member Seeun, who was sitting in the passenger seat, suffered a rotator cuff tear in her right shoulder and a cruciate ligament rupture in her right knee. According to her agency, the medical exam determined that she would need to prepare for surgery and a recovery period of six months to a year.

After hearing the news, the members decided to temporarily promote as three members while Seeun recovers from her injuries. At the time of the car accident, S2U were preparing to release a single album in April with the addition of a new member, but it is uncertain whether they will continue with those plans.
