Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon Shares What She Was Really Like As A Trainee
Girls’ Generation member Hyoyeon reminisced about her days as a trainee on tvN’s “Where is Mr. Kim 2.”
“Where is Mr. Kim 2” is a mystery variety show where celebrities try to find unknown, talented actors amongst everyday people.
On the March 15 episode, Hyoyeon visited EXID’s agency to look for an unknown actor pretending to be the agency’s employee. In order to perfectly set up the scenario, EXID’s Junghwa recruited six suspects and many trainees.
Hyoyeon watched as the trainees auditioned in front of the agency’s employees and said, “I also cried when I auditioned. I danced while crying because I was nervous.”
During their conversation, the two girl group members also brought up how their agencies emphasize the importance of honesty to their trainees. Junghwa told Hyoyeon, “I can’t lie very well.” Hyoyeon said, “That was something I was told when I first entered the agency. They said not to lie.”
When Junghwa asked Hyoyeon if she’s never lied, she answered, “That’s why I got better at tricks,” and made everyone laugh.
Hyoyeon also watched as the trainees practiced dancing and confessed, “I didn’t practice when the teacher wasn’t there. I only practiced when it felt like the teacher was about to come in.”
