Wanna One Gets 1st Win For "Boomerang" On "Show Champion"

Wanna One has received their first trophy for “Boomerang”!

The March 28 episode of “Show Champion” was a highlight special featuring performances from the first part of the year and prior performances by artists making comebacks soon.

At the end of the show, the nominees were announced for this week. GOT7’s “Look,” MAMAMOO’s “Starry Night,” BIGBANG’s “Flower Road,” NCT 127’s “Touch,” and Wanna One’s “Boomerang” were all nominated for first.

Wanna One took the win, and “Show Champion” shared a clip of the members thanking their fans with a solemn tone. This was one of Wanna One’s first opportunities to speak to their fans as a group following a controversy last week.

Leader Yoon Ji Sung said, “We’ve won the ‘Champion Song’ trophy with ‘Boomerang’ on ‘Show Champion.’ We’ll work harder and be more mature, develop, and be better so that we won’t disappoint Wannable. We’ll try hard to become artists that can pay you back with good performances. Thank you once again for the award, and thank you so, so much to Wannable.”
