Jung Jae Young And Jung Yoo Mi Confirmed For New Investigative Drama Starring Lee Yi Kyung

Actors Jung Jae Young and Jung Yoo Mi have joined the cast of MBC’s upcoming drama “Investigative Man and Woman” (literal translation). The two were previously in talks to join the drama, with actor Lee Yi Kyung confirmed to play detective Cha Soo Ho.

The drama will follow prickly perfectionist forensic doctor Baek Bum and the bubbly yet clumsy rookie prosecutor Eun Sol as the two work on cases together. It will be directed by Noh Dong Chul, who previously headed “Ruler: Master of the Mask.”

Jung Jae Young has been confirmed for the role of Baek Bum, a forensic doctor with 10 years of experience at the National Forensic Service. Although his skills are recognized and he has performed the most autopsies in Korea, he is eccentric and has a picky personality.

In regards to his upcoming role, the actor commented, “I hope I will have a fun and enjoyable time while filming. Since this is only the beginning, the most important thing is to be healthy until the end. I hope everyone looks forward to the drama.”

Jung Yoo Mi will be taking on the role of Eun Sol, a prosecutor working in the 8th Eastern District. As she was born into a wealthy family and possesses photographic memory, the detective is a warm, sensitive character who aims to connect with people’s hearts and pursue the truth.

In regards to her appearance in the drama, the actress shared, “The script was so interesting that as I was reading it, I was already anticipating the next episode. Because it’s such a fun drama, I feel a strong determination to work hard. I will work well with many actors, so please look forward to the drama.”

“Investigative Man and Woman” will air in May after “Tempted” comes to an end.
