Kim Jung Min And Jisook Have Not Been Paid For Variety Show Appearance, Production Company Responds

Actress Kim Jung Min and original Rainbow member Jisook have yet to receive payment for a variety show they appeared on a year ago.

On April 4, both of their agencies confirmed reports that they had not been paid for SBS’s beauty and fashion variety show, “Style Follow.”

A source representing Kim Jung Min stated, “She appeared on ‘Style Follow’ at the beginning of last year but has still not received appearance fees of around 9 million won [approximately $8,500]. At the time, ‘Style Follow’ said that they would pay the appearance fees soon, but we still have not received anything for eight months now.”

Jisook’s agency Dmost Entertainment explained, “She is supposed to have been paid for her appearance last September, but we haven’t been able to receive anything yet. We recently spoke with the head of the production company on the phone and have been discussing the nonpayments.” Jisook’s unpaid appearance fees are reported to be around 6.6 million won (approximately $6,200).

“Style Follow” aired from April 2017 to December 2017. Lady Jane has also reportedly not been paid for her appearance, in addition to staff members who have not been paid for three months now. It is estimated that the crew members have yet to be paid 55-60 percent of what they were agreed to from the production company StyleN. In total, the company is reported to owe 168 million won (approximately $158,700) to various guest celebrities and the crew.

StyleN, the production company in charge of the “Style Follow,” is said to have put off paying the guests and crew due to “financial difficulties.” A source from StyleN responded, “We were unable to give the wages and appearance fees due to a lack of funds. We plan on paying everyone by April 13.”
