Watch: BTS Joins Other Celebrities To Share Their Dreams For Project In Tribute To Martin Luther King Jr.

BTS has taken part in an international project that pays tribute to the work of Martin Luther King Jr. and brings people together as they hope for a better world.

April 4 is the day when American civil rights movement leader Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in 1968. He delivered his historic “I Have a Dream” speech in 1963 at the March on Washington, in which he shared his dream of equality and the end of racism in the United States.

On the 50th anniversary of his passing on April 4 local time, a video was released on Stevie Wonder’s YouTube channel titled “The Dream Still Lives.” It features artists, actors, politicians, and more talking about their dreams for the future, because “a need for his dream to be fulfilled is far greater than ever.”

BTS is included in the video sharing their dream that people will love themselves, which links to the message of their recent “Love Yourself” series of album releases.

The long line-up of people in the video includes Stevie Wonder himself, Barack and Michelle Obama, Mariah Carey, Whoopi Goldberg, Jamie Foxx, Meryl Streep, Lupita Nyong’o, Elton John, and many more.

The project encourages everyone to share their own “Dream Still Lives” videos, using the hashtag “#DreamStillLives.”
