Im Seulong Transferred To Reservist Duty Due To Rare Disorder

Im Seulong, who’s currently serving in the military, has been diagnosed with a rare disorder.

On April 6, his agency SidusHQ released an official statement to announce that the singer will no longer be an active-duty soldier.

They wrote, “Im Seulong experienced pain near the ribs ever since his pre-debut days. In 2011, he was diagnosed with myofascial pain syndrome, internal disc disruption, facet joint syndrome, irregular chest pain, and chronic pain.

“The conditions listed above are symptoms of ’12th rib syndrome,’ a rare disorder that requires continuous medication. After his diagnosis, Im Seulong promoted for seven years while consistently receiving treatment.

“The disorder does not have a major constraint on his physical activities and daily life, but because it’s a rare condition where one experiences sudden pain, Im Seulong received treatment up until enlistment and carried out activities at the same time.

“Once he enlisted, however, his symptoms worsened during military training, and it was deemed impossible to combine military life with medical treatment. Under the instructions of the military, he was moved from active duty to reservist status.

“Im Seulong is currently waiting for a draft notice, and he feels apologetic for not being able to complete his military service in a healthy state. He will do his best with his remaining military service.”

We wish him good health for the remaining of his service!
