WINNER Shares How They Feel About Yang Hyun Suk's Social Media Promotion

WINNER recently sat down for an interview to discuss talk about their second full album “EVERYD4Y.”

During an interview with Sports Donga, the members shared that Yang Hyun Suk, the founder of YG Entertainment, fully supported them as they prepared their new album. “The most important thing as people making music is whether someone respects our opinions,” Kang Seung Yoon said. “But Yang Hyun Suk helped us make music as freely as we wished.”

He continued to share that they not only talked about music but talked about trivial things as well as joked around together. “I feel like we’ve grown much closer while preparing this album,” he added.

When asked about Yang Hyun Suk avidly promoting their new song “Everyday” on social media, Kang Seung Yoon replied that they were grateful for it. He said, “I’d like to thank him the most for actively responding to fans’ feedback recently.”

Yang Hyun Suk made several Instagram posts during the two days after WINNER released “Everyday” that talked about the new song. Yang Hyun Suk has also recently been replying directly on Instagram to comments and concerns about his artists.

Kang Seung Yoon went on to say, “Some people could find our music to their taste and there could be some who don’t. It’s true that there’s pressure because Yang Hyun Suk’s promoting is quite aggressive, but I think that’s also to inspire and stimulate us. We’re trying to meet those expectations.”

WINNER’s title track “Everyday” topped realtime charts only hours after its release on April 4, and went on to achieve the group’s first certified all-kill.
