Lee Hyori Opens Up To Park Bo Gum About The Future Of Her Career On "Hyori's Homestay 2"
Lee Hyori shared a candid conversation with Park Bo Gum on JTBC’s “Hyori’s Homestay 2.”
On the April 8 episode, Lee Hyori and her newest part-time worker Park Bo Gum went out to get waffle ingredients. In the car, Park Bo Gum played Uhm Jung Hwa‘s “Ending Credit” and Lee Hyori commented, “Uhm Jung Hwa has her own aura.”
She then asked the actor, “Should I release a dance track on my album too?” and he replied, “Yes. Many people are waiting for it.”
Lee Hyori confessed, “Since I’m in my 40s, dance songs feel burdensome. I feel like I won’t be good and my confidence is lacking. But when I see Uhm Jung Hwa, I think that I could do it like that. Uhm Jung Hwa is amazing.”
She continued, “I want to try doing it, but I’m also scared. I think that’s the case for everything.”
She added, “You know how people compare me to Madonna? I don’t think I’m that kind of person. When I was young, I thought that I would still [perform] glamorously like Madonna in my 40s and 50s, but I don’t think the person that I am now is that kind of person. I actually think Uhm Jung Hwa is that kind of person.”
