Watch: EXID And Weki Meki Take On Challenge Of Reimagining Jewelry's And OneTwo's Hit Dance Tracks

EXID and Weki Meki made an appearance on the April 8 broadcast of JTBC’s “Sugar Man 2”!

“Sugar Man 2” is a program that highlights classic hits from the past, as well as the singers of those songs. Currently active singers are also invited to remake these tracks and give them with a 2018 flair. On the dance-themed April 8 episode, Jewelry and OneTwo were the featured artists.

Known by all 100 members of the audience, Jewelry was a popular girl group from the 2000s who is best known for tracks like “One More Time” and “Superstar.” The members shared what they have been up to, such as Kim Eun Jung explaining she is currently working as a lyricist with Devine Channel. While talking about their disbandment, Park Jung Ah also commented that they would like to hold a concert one day as Jewelry never got to.

OneTwo was a dance duo that debuted under JYP Entertainment in the early 2000s, and was best known for their 2003 hit “Now, Hips.” While they had their disagreements that lead to their disbandment and a three-year period of silence, the duo revealed they are currently working as DJs together.

EXID and Weki Meki were challenged to remake these groups’ most popular hits. Weki Meki showcased their version of Jewelry’s “One More Time,” which features a stronger beat and synth sounds for a retro disco feel. EXID performed their rendition of OneTwo’s “Now, Hips” with its “hippie vibe” and bouncy beat.

Both groups received a lot of love, but EXID won in the end.
