Watch: MAMAMOO's Moonbyul Shares How TVXQ Inspired Her And Dances To "Rising Sun"

MAMAMOO’s Solar recently showed off her dance moves and revealed how TVXQ helped shape her dreams of becoming a singer.

The girl group appeared on KBS 2TV’s “Immortal Songs” on April 14 in their “Singing of Spring” special. In the waiting room, MC Hwang Chi Yeol asked, “There are stars that we as stars look up to. Who are those stars for you, MAMAMOO?” Moonbyul immediately answered and chose TVXQ, whom she has talked about in the past, including when she chose Yunho as her ideal type.

She stated, “TVXQ is the reason I started dreaming of becoming a singer. I used to hone my dancing skills by watching their choreography videos and replicating them.” Moonbyul said that she especially danced to “Rising Sun” a lot back then.

Everyone was surprised to hear that her favorite song to dance to was “Rising Sun,” which is well-known for its powerful and energetic choreography. Moonbyul was asked if she could dance to the song, and she was hesitant at first as the song had been released 13 years ago and she couldn’t remember a lot of the choreography. However, she impressed everyone when the music came on and she started dancing to “Rising Sun.”
