Lee Yi Kyung Addresses Controversy Over Tak Jae Hoon’s Attitude On “It’s Dangerous Beyond The Blankets”
Actor Lee Yi Kyung has responded to viewers’ concerns about the first episode of MBC’s new reality show “It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets.”
In a recent interview with media outlet Joy News 24, Lee Yi Kyung talked about his experience on the variety program. He recalled, “I felt really comfortable throughout filming. I was so comfortable that, even though it didn’t make it to the broadcast, I spent half the day just sleeping. Maybe it was because I had been so busy filming my drama, but I slept very deeply.”
After the show’s premiere aired on April 5, some viewers voiced complaints that Tak Jae Hoon had behaved rudely towards Lee Yi Kyung during the episode. The actor clarified that there had been no such problem, explaining, “It wasn’t like that on set. Because Tak Jae Hoon’s words and behavior are so funny, we were cracking up on set throughout filming.”
He continued, “I think a misunderstanding arose because only Tak Jae Hoon’s reactions were aired. I feel sorry [about the misunderstanding].”
Lee Yi Kyung also talked about his new friendship with fellow cast member Wanna One’s Kang Daniel. “Kang Daniel contacts me a lot,” he said. “When my drama [‘Waikiki’] ended, he was the first to contact me.”
He added with a laugh, “He told me that instead of watching the show on TV, he just watches clips of it online.”
“It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets” is a reality show that follows a cast of celebrity homebodies as they hang out at home and go on vacation together. The program airs on Thursdays at 11 p.m. KST.
