Hwang Chi Yeol has made his first comeback in eight months with his new title track “The Only Star”!

“The Only Star” was released on April 24 as the title track of his second mini album “Be Myself.” The song’s lyrics depict someone reminiscing about all of the amazing moments they experienced when they were in love. Hwang Chi Yeol helped write the lyrics, and the song incorporates a shuffle rhythm to a ballad to create a song that can be enjoyed all year round.

Veteran actor Kim Yong Gun made a special appearance in the music video. The two met through MBC’s “I Live Alone” and Kim Yong Gun is said to have happily agreed to participate in Hwang Chi Yeol’s comeback. The actor plays a man at his wife’s funeral, and as he stands in front her coffin, he looks back on their precious moments together. Memories of his wife and his younger self, Hwang Chi Yeol, flash before his eyes and he gives his wife his final send off.
