Hyoyeon Shares How Girls' Generation Stays Close Despite Their Busy Schedules

Hyoyeon recently shared that the members of Girls’ Generation are as close as ever as they pursue their individual passions!

She appeared on SBS PowerFM’s “Choi Hwa Jung’s Power Time” on April 27 to talk about her debut as DJ HYO with the song “Sober,” as well as a variety of other topics. During the show, a listener who revealed themselves to be a long-time fan of Girls’ Generation wrote, “Do the members of Girls’ Generation still meet up?”

Hyoyeon replied, “We don’t get to meet up that often these days because we’re all focusing on our individual activities.” She smiled as she talked about their unchanging friendship as she added, “However, we stay in constant contact through text messages. We have a group chat and there are always hundreds of new messages in it. We always have so much we want to say to each other.”

DJ Choi Hwa Jung asked her who reads the messages last, and Hyoyeon laughed as she picked herself. She joked, “I’m going to end up getting kicked out of the group chat.”

Hyoyeon recently made her debut as DJ HYO and released her first digital single “Sober” on April 18.
