Watch: Jang Ki Yong And Jin Ki Joo Show That Love Transcends Time In New

Jang Ki Yong and Jin Ki Joo show that their fates are entwined in upcoming MBC drama “Come and Hug Me.”

“Come and Hug Me” is about a romance between Chae Do Jin and Han Jae Yi. The two were first loves as children, but were torn apart when it was revealed that Chae Do Jin’s father was a serial killer and that Han Jae Yi was the daughter of one of his victims. The two reunite in the future, with Chae Do Jin becoming a police officer and Han Jae Yi an aspiring actress, as they embrace each other’s wounds and fall in love.

The teaser begins with a dark and mysterious crime scene, where a man narrates, “Did you see the criminal’s face?” Nam Da Reum, who plays the younger Chae Do Jin, tearfully admits that it was his father. Ryu Han Bi, who plays the younger Han Jae Yi, is pulled away from Nam Da Reum as she says, “I’ll come back, like the name Na Moon Hee. I’ll endure it in any way I can.”

In the future, Jang Ki Yong, the older Chae Do Jin, attends the police academy. In an interview, he answers, “I’m doing it for my own personal appearance. My father was the serial killer, Yoon Hee Jae.” Jin Ki Joo then appears, as she brightly smiles, and shows off her hectic life as an actress. She says, “I had a bit of a past, but I’ve got a variety show-like vibe now. My birth name is Gil Nak Won.”

The teaser then transitions to a road lined with cherry blossoms in full bloom, and Jin Ki Joo looks out the window as she passes by Jang Ki Yong in a car. The two share a moment as they gaze into each other’s eyes. The teaser flashes back to a parallel moment, when they were gazing into each other’s eyes with the cherry blossoms in bloom when they were younger. Nam Da Reum narrates, “Nak Won, make me into someone that can endure and believe in you.”

“Come and Hug Me” will air its first episode on May 16 at 10 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki!
