Ryu Jun Yeol And Yoo Hae Jin May Reunite In New Historical War Film
On May 4, both actors’ agencies confirmed that they were currently in talks to join the cast of the upcoming war film “Battle” (working title). C-JeS Entertainment told media outlet News1, “Ryu Jun Yeol is currently reviewing his ‘Battle’ casting offer with a positive outlook,” while Huayi Brothers confirmed that Yoo Hae Jin was “in the midst of reviewing” his own offer.
“Battle” is a film about the 1920 Battle of Bongodong, a confrontation between Korean independence fighters and Japanese forces that took place during the Japanese occupation of Korea. Should the two actors accept their casting offers, Ryu Jun Yeol will be playing a young independence militia leader who is also a skilled sniper, while Yoo Hae Jin will be playing a figure central to the fight for independence.
Ryu Jun Yeol and Yoo Hae Jin previously appeared together in the hit 2017 film “A Taxi Driver.”
