MONSTA X's "Piece" Ranks High On Japanese Music Charts
MONSTA X is having great success on music charts with their new Japanese album!
On May 7, their agency Starship Entertainment stated, “MONSTA X’s Japanese album ‘Piece,’ which was released on April 25, has ranked first place on Tower Records’ weekly chart.” As of May 7 KST, “Piece” has also ranked No. 3 on Oricon’s weekly chart and No. 3 on Billboard Japan’s Hot Album Chart. The album also ranked No. 1 on Oricon’s daily chart on May 5.
MONSTA X made their official Japanese debut in 2017 with their single “Hero,” which came in No. 1 on Tower Records. The group’s following Japanese releases, including their second single “Beautiful,” have ranked No. 1 on Tower Records and Oricon daily charts.
The group released their sixth Korean mini album “The Connect” in March, and the album ranked No. 1 not only on the Tower Records daily sales chart, but on its other charts as well. They also released their Japanese single “Spotlight” in January, which sold over 100,000 copies, becoming certified gold in Japan.
