Gaon Reveals Latest Weekly Chart Results + First Albums Certified Platinum Under New System

On May 3, Gaon revealed chart results for the week from April 22 through April 28.

“Don’t” by Loco and MAMAMOO’s Hwasa topped the overall digital chart and streaming chart for the second consecutive week. On both charts, Nilo’s “Pass” took No. 2, TWICE’s “What is Love” took No. 3, and MeloMance’s “You” took No. 4. Park Hyo Shin’s “The Other Day” placed No. 5 on the digital chart, while HAON’s “Boong Boong” placed No. 5 on the streaming chart.Three new releases made their entrance in the top five of the download chart. GFRIEND’s “Time for the Moon Night” topped the chart and is followed by “The Other Day.” “Don’t” is in third, Crush’s “Bittersweet” is fourth, and MeloMance’s “Just Friends” is fifth.

GFRIEND’s “Time for the Moon Night” topped the album chart recording physical album shipments. No. 2 is UNB’s “Boyhood,” No. 3 is MONSTA X’s “The Connect: Dejavu,” No. 4 is VIXX’s “Eau De Vixx,” and No. 5 is TWICE’s “TWICEcoaster: LANE 1.”GFRIEND’s “Time for the Moon Night” also came out on top of the social chart, which is a result of data from YouTube, Twitter, and YinYueTai. “What is Love” is in second, while MOMOLAND’s “BBoom BBoom” is in third. (G)I-DLE’s “Latata” took No. 4, and BTS’s “DNA” took No. 5.In addition, the first albums to be certified under the new system have been announced. Albums eligible were released on or after January 1, 2018 and have been out for more than six weeks.

GOT7’s “Eyes on You” and NCT’s “NCT 2018 Empathy” have received Platinum certification with over 250,000 copies sold each. Wanna One’s “0+1=1 (I Promise You)” has been certified Triple Platinum with over 750,000 copies sold.
