DreamCatcher Responds To Being Compared To GFRIEND
On May 10, DreamCatcher held a press showcase for their upcoming second mini album.
At the event, a reporter mentioned that especially with the release of GFRIEND’s “Time for the Moon Night,” music fans have been comparing the concepts of the two groups. Some have viewed DreamCatcher as a darker version of GFRIEND and GFRIEND as a brighter version of DreamCatcher.
In response, JiU commented, “We are thankful to even be mentioned with GFRIEND. We hope to switch songs with GFRIEND for a collaboration one day.”
When asked which GFRIEND song they would like to try, Yoohyeon mentioned “Glass Bead.”
Dami also talked about her friendship with GFRIEND’s Yuju. She shared that she went to their concert and added, “When GFRIEND’s new song ‘Time for the Moon Night’ came out, I monitored and told her I really liked it, and she said, ‘I am waiting for your comeback. Let’s meet soon.’ We support each other a lot.”
DreamCatcher’s new mini album “Escape the ERA” will be released on May 10 at 6 p.m. KST.
