While he was an extra or minor role in a few productions prior to this, Lee Min Ho officially made his acting debut on May 10, 2006 through EBS’s “Secret Campus.” Several dramas and films later, he got his big-break when he landed the lead role of Gu Jun Pyo in KBS2’s 2009 drama “Boys Over Flowers,” for which he won Best New Actor at both the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards and the 2009 KBS Drama Awards.

The actor has since starred other big hits such as SBS’s “City Hunter,” SBS’s “Heirs,” and most recently, SBS’s “The Legend of the Blue Sea.” For every one of his drama roles since 2011, Lee Min Ho has won a Top Excellence Award, in addition to other accolades. He also made his big screen debut in 2015 with “Gangnam Blues,” for which he was awarded Best New Actor at the 52nd Daejong Film Awards.

Lee Min Ho is currently carrying out his mandatory military service after enlisting on May 12, 2017. He is set to be discharged in May 2019.

Happy anniversary to Lee Min Ho!
