INFINITE's Sunggyu Enlists In The Military
INFINITE’s Sunggyu is beginning his mandatory military service.
On May 14 at around 1:15 p.m. KST, he entered the training center of the 22nd Infantry Division.
Sunggyu expressed his wish to enter quietly, so he did not stop for any interviews. He simply waved to fans and said, “Thank you,” before entering.
The other INFINITE members are currently in Russia for an event, so he was only accompanied by staff from Woollim Entertainment.
Ahead of his enlistment, his close friend Bora shared a photo taken together in 2016 and commented, “I will make sure to visit!! Don’t get hurt, and be healthy!! Let’s go to an escape room again like that time when you are discharged!!”
Sunggyu will receive five weeks of basic training and then continue with active duty service for about 20 months.
