TWICE Breaks 1st Day Sales Record For K-Pop Girl Groups In Japan + Tops Oricon Daily Single Chart With

TWICE has set a new record among K-pop girl groups in Japan with the first day sales of their single “Wake Me Up”!

The girl group released the single on May 16, and it grabbed the No. 1 spot on Oricon’s daily single chart for May 15 with 129,275 units sold.

This is TWICE’s highest ever first day sales in Japan, after they reached 117,486 units sold with their single “Candy Pop” back in February. TWICE therefore continues to hold the record for the most albums sold on the first day of sales out of all Korean girl groups who debuted in Japan, with the record now even higher than before.

Congratulations to TWICE!
