Jessica Talks About Attending Cannes Film Festival And Future Activities
Jessica made a appearance at the 71st Cannes International Film Festival.
After debuting as a singer, the star has been actively working in various fields, most notably in the fashion industry with her own brand BLANC & ECLARE. She recently made an appearance at the red carpet for “Hans Solo: A Star Wars Story,” which was invited to participate in the festival in a non-competitive category.
Jessica shared that she had been invited by jewelry brand Messika and “Hans Solo: A Star Wars Story.” She commented, “It’s meaningful to be participating in a global event and it feels great! It was so busy.” She also made an impression on the red carpet with a lavender-flowered dress and shared, “The dress I wore is one from Ralph & Russo, and it’s even more special because they flew the dress over from London for me.”
Jessica also talked about the various activities she had been doing since arriving in France, saying, “I attended dress fittings, and attended various meetings and shoots.” She explained that she hasn’t just been attending events, but that she was having fun too. The star shared, “As soon as I landed, I went to the beach for a vacation and I ate a lot of seafood I really like. One thing that made an impression on me was how kind everyone was.”
When asked about her perspective on fashion, Jessica answered, “Fashion is a way to express yourself. It has to be fun. You have to know yourself, and enjoy yourself.” She also explained that believing in oneself was the most important thing to her. She continued, “Rather than living a life being swayed by other people’s words, [it’s important to] trust in what you hear from yourself. It’s a faithful life using trust as a foundation. It’s also [important to] have honest relationships with people important to you.”
On Korean promotions, she commented, “I’ve never thought of myself as limited to a specific country. Wherever it is, if there’s a good opportunity and an opportunity to meet fans, I’m always open to it.”
The star also recently signed a contract with American agency United Talent Agency (UTA), signaling further promotions abroad. On her widespread activities, she commented, “I don’t think I’ve ever considered myself as someone who has a specific profession. Nowadays, the word ‘entertainer’ is being normalized. Rather than one path, there are a lot of people who promote in various fields. I, too, want to promote in different areas, and think that I’m taking that road. In that respect, I think it’s fortunate that there are a lot of opportunities abroad.”
Jessica concluded, “I am currently in discussions for my promotions abroad. I think I’ll be able to have good news soon. My brand is also currently collaborating with other teams, so BLANC & ECLARE will be available through various fields soon.”
