Starship Entertainment And King Kong By Starship To Take Legal Action Against Malicious Commenters
Starship Entertainment and King Kong by Starship will be taking legal action against malicious commenters.
On May 23, King Kong by Starship Entertainment announced through a press release their new measures to protect their artists.
The statement is as follows:
“Hello. This is King Kong by Starship.
“As of May 23, 2018, our company Starship Entertainment and subsidiary House of Music are announcing that we will take strong legal action against malicious slander, spreading of false information, postings of character assassination and defamation, and malicious comments online and on social media.
“Our artists (Kim Bum, Kim Ji Won, Kim Da Som, Park Hee Soon, Yoo Yeon Seok, Lee Kwang Soo, Lee Mi Yeon, Lee Dong Wook, Jo Yoon Hee, Kang Eun Ah, Park Min Woo, Oh Ah Yeon, Oh Hye Won, Yoon Jin Yi, Lee Elijah, Jang Jung Yeon, Jung Joon Won, Jo Yoon Woo, Ji Il Joo, Choi Won Myeong, Choi Hee Jin, Han Min, etc.) and those of Starship Entertainment (K.Will, Soyou, Duetto, MIND U, Mad Clown, MONSTA X, Boyfriend, Brother Su, #Gun, WJSN (Cosmic Girls), Yoo Seung Woo, Jeong Sewoon, Joo Young, trainees Lee Gwang Hyun, Ahn Yoo Jin, Jang Won Young, Jo Ga Hyun, Park Hyun Jin, ACHILLO, etc.) and subsidiary House of Music artists (MoonMoon, DJ Soda, etc) have already suffered for a long time due to some netizens’ malicious intent, spread of false information, and defamation, and we decided that it is still currently in a serious state and that we can no longer overlook it.
“Recently, under the Information Communications Network Act, the judicial branch has shown strong and severe punishment in punishing illegal acts of slander and the spreading of false information.
