SBS’s newest drama “The Undateables” is off to a solid start!

The drama premiered on May 23 and recorded viewership ratings of 5.3 percent and 5.2 percent nationwide according to Nielsen Korea. While in second place overall in its Wednesday-Thursday evening time slot, “The Undateables” notably saw the highest ratings for the 20-49 age group, which is often considered the target audience for broadcasters. Its 2049 ratings were 3.0 percent and 3.3 percent. According to an industry source, Namgoong Min and Hwang Jung Eum‘s portrayal of their characters’ ill-fated relationship played a part in its popularity with those in their 20s to 40s.

KBS2’s “Suits” continued its first place streak in this time slot with its highest overall viewership yet of 9.9 percent nationwide. This was impressively 2.5 percent greater than ratings for its previous May 17 broadcast. Its 2049 ratings were 2.8 percent.

MBC’s “Come and Hug Me” brought in ratings of 4.2 percent and 4.7 percent nationwide, and specifically recorded 1.7 percent and 2.2 percent for the 20-49 age group. Notably, Jang Ki Yong‘s final scene during the drama’s May 23 broadcast was highly lauded by viewers.
