BTS’s Jin has expressed his gratitude to their fans for helping them make history with “Love Yourself: Tear“!

On May 28 KST, BTS officially became the first K-pop artist to top Billboard’s famous Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks albums according to their popularity in the United States. The group’s latest album “Love Yourself: Tear” took first place on the chart for the week of May 27 to June 2, marking the first time in over 12 years that a primarily foreign-language album has topped the chart.

Later that day, Jin took to Twitter to share his thoughts on their remarkable achievement and to thank fans for making it happen.

He wrote, “No. 1 on the Billboard 200… thank you for making it possible for me to wake up to such good news. I’m both amazed and overwhelmed. Thank you to everyone who listened to our songs! We will continue to work hard in the future!”

BTS had previously mentioned at their press conference on May 24 that they hoped to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with “Love Yourself: Tear.”
