Teen Top's Niel Cast In Lead Role In Upcoming Movie

Teen Top’s Niel will be making his big screen debut!

Niel will be starring in the film “Swag,” directed by Lim Sung Kwan and produced by Purple Straw Film, about a boy from a wealthy family who matures by sincerely pursuing a path of music. Niel plays the lead role, a free-spirited and naive young man born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

The movie began filming on May 14 in Seoul and will be filming all over South Korea as well as Los Angeles in the United States.

Niel stated, “There is the pressure of being in my first film as well as being cast in the lead role, but since it’s a music film and I am playing a singer, I can relate to my character. I want to show people a cool main character who matures into becoming a serious artist.”

The director has previously directed music videos for artists like Taeyeon (“Why”), BTOB (“Movie”), Block B (“Jackpot”), and Teen Top (“Miss Right”).

“Swag” will be Niel’s first big screen role, but he has previously acted in the musical “Altar Boyz.”
