Jeong Sewoon's Fans Donate To Children With Leukemia For 22nd Birthday
Jeong Sewoon’s fan club recently celebrated the singer’s 22nd birthday (May 31, 1997) by donating 970,531 won (approximately $905) to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation (KCLF). Jeong Sewoon’s fans will be continuing to donate, each fan giving 531 won every day (approximately $0.50) starting on June 1, and giving 5,310 won (approximately $5) on the first, 11th, and 21st of each month to go towards treatment costs for children with cancer.
The fan club said, “We wanted to share the happiness that Jeong Sewoon gives us, so we decided to donate. We hope our and Jeong Sewoon’s sincerity is able to reach each and every child, and that they will be able to recover their health at least a day sooner.”
This is a continuation of the fan club’s passion for helping children with cancer; earlier this year on March 18, they donated 2,906,820 won (approximately $2,700) to the foundation to commemorate the singer’s 200 days since debut.
Jeong Sewoon recently wrapped his first solo concert as well as his first overseas concert in Taiwan, and is currently appearing as an MC on JTBC2’s variety program “I’ve Fallen For You.”
