Yubin Comments On BTS’s Billboard Success And Talks About Wonder Girls’ U.S. Experience
On June 4, Yubin held press interviews ahead of her upcoming solo debut.
One news outlet mentioned BTS’s success on Billboard charts and asked her response as someone who has previously experienced Billboard.
Yubin answered, “They are showing impressive success. As a Korean artist, I feel happy and proud. Since we have also promoted in that industry, I think I feel more sympathy and pride.”
She also looked back on Wonder Girls’ time in the United States, recalling, “It was really difficult at the time, but they are good memories. I think the person who I am today exists due to the various experiences back then.” She added, “I believe they are valuable memories that I don’t want to forget.”
In 2009, Wonder Girls’ “Nobody” entered the Billboard’s Hot 100 at No. 76, becoming the first song by a Korean artist to enter the chart. BTS’s “Fake Love” recently entered at No. 10.
