fromis_9 Shares How They Feel About Member Jang Gyu Ri Competing On "Produce 48"

Rookie girl group fromis_9 made their first comeback on June 5, but they’re promoting with eight members this time around while member Jang Gyu Ri takes part in “Produce 48.”

At their comeback showcase on June 5, Noh Ji Sun said, “We cheered each other on.” Leader Lee Sae Rom added, “We told each other that we’d do our best in our own situations. We’re also going to work hard.”

“Before Gyu Ri left, we gave each other letters,” she continued. “We said that if we do our best in our own situations, we’ll get to where we want.” She also added, “We’re going to raise awareness about our group while making up for Gyu Ri’s absence.”

fromis_9 made their debut in January with their first mini album “To. Heart,” after being chosen as the top trainees on the Mnet show “Idol School.” They made a comeback on June 5 with their new mini album “To. Day,” featuring the title track “DKDK.”

“Produce 48” is the latest season in Mnet’s “Produce 101” series, which has created the project groups I.O.I and Wanna One. It will feature female contestants from both Korea and Japan, and is set to premiere on June 15.
