TVXQ Sets New Record In Japan For Foreign Artists With Most Concertgoers At A Single Tour

TVXQ has set a new record in Japan with their latest tour!

According to Japanese media outlets such as Sankei Sports, as of June 10, TVXQ has attracted approximately one million concertgoers to their “Begin Again” tour in Japan.

TVXQ began their “Begin Again” tour in November 2017. They held 17 performances in five domes (Sapporo Dome, Fukuoka Dome, Kyocera Dome, Nagoya Dome, and Tokyo Dome), performing for approximately 780,000 people. The grand finale of the tour was held at Nissan Stadium, where they became the first singers to ever hold a concert at the venue for three consecutive days. During the three-day event, even additional seats with obstructed views were released and promptly sold out.

Bringing approximately 220,000 people to the three-day event, TVXQ set a new record by attracting one million concertgoers to a single tour. This broke their personal record of 840,000, which was set during their “Time” tour in 2013, by a 160,000-person margin. This is also a new record for the most concertgoers at a single tour in Japan for a foreign artist.

Interest is high as TVXQ continues to soar and set new records even after their hiatus, during which they fulfilled their military service. The group made a Korean comeback earlier this year with their new title track “The Chance of Love” and also held their “CIRCLE — #welcome” concerts in May.

Congratulations to TVXQ on the amazing achievement!
