HaHa Boosts "My Ugly Duckling" To Most-Watched Variety Show Of The Week By Dishing The Dirt On Kim Jong Kook's Love Life

SBS’s “My Ugly Duckling” achieved the highest viewership ratings of any variety program this week!

According to Nielsen Korea, the June 10 episode of the reality show scored average viewership ratings of 20.3 percent nationwide. Not only did the program take first place in its time slot across all channels, it was also the most-watched variety show of the entire week.

Viewership ratings peaked at 21.6 percent during the minute that HaHa revealed a surprising fact about his close friend Kim Jong Kook. The episode featured a special guest appearance by HaHa and Yang Se Chan, who stopped by their “Running Man” castmate Kim Jong Kook’s house to share a meal and dish the dirt on his personal life.

After teasing Kim Jong Kook by making several vague references to the singer’s past love life, HaHa mentioned that he had once set Kim Jong Kook up on a blind double date with him and his wife. To Yang Se Chan’s surprise, HaHa recalled that Kim Jong Kook had been a perfect gentleman. “He’s the type who pulls chairs out [for his date],” said HaHa. “He has really great manners.”

In the most-watched minute of the entire episode, he then went on to share, “[Kim Jong Kook] is easy to win over. All you have to do is hit on him three times. He’s the easiest person ever to seduce, but unfortunately, no one knows that.”

Kim Jong Kook admitted that HaHa was right, laughing, “I have a strange disorder. Even if I’m not interested in someone at all, if she says she likes me, I’m suddenly [intrigued].”
