Watch: BTOB Proves They're A Group Made Up Of 7 Vocalists And 7 Rappers On

The members of BTOB showed off their singing and rapping skills on JTBC’s “Idol Room.”

On the June 16 episode of the variety show, MCs Jung Hyung Don and Defconn asked BTOB to confirm or deny rumors about the group during the segment “Fact Check.”

Jung Hyung Don first asked BTOB about the statement: “BTOB is a vocal-rich, rapper-rich group made up of seven vocalists and seven rappers.” Although BTOB has a vocal line and a rap line, the group has proven many times that its rappers can sing and its vocalists can rap. The BTOB members sounded pleased by this rumor and stated that it was a fact.

When asked who was the group’s main vocal, Minhyuk confidently replied, “You could call all of our vocalists main vocalists.” Ilhoon added, “All of our vocalists have their own unique sound.”

Jung Hyung Don asked the group what they would do if Eunkwang weren’t present for a performance of “Missing You,” and they answered that anyone could fill in for him. Yook Sungjae added, “When that happens in real life, we don’t even discuss it in the dressing room. Someone just does it on the spot.”

When the MCs asked the members to demonstrate, Ilhoon sang Eunkwang’s part of “Missing You,” while Yook Sungjae rapped Ilhoon’s part. Changsub and Eunkwang also showed off their own versions of Ilhoon’s rap.

BTOB is also well-known for their harmonizing skills. Yook Sungjae revealed, “The rappers actually really like to harmonize,” and Minhyuk explained, “It’s because we want to sing so badly.” The vocal line then began to sing Boyz II Men’s “A Song for Mama,” and the rap line joined in with their improvised ad libs.
