Watch: "Voice 2" Releases Chilling Teaser + Confirms Premiere Date

“Voice 2” will be returning with even more chilling stories of crime and the desperate chase to stop them.

OCN’s “Voice 2” follows the lives of the employees of the 112 (911 in Korea) emergency call center, and the urgent, life-or-death calls they receive.

The first season of the show achieved the highest viewership ratings for audiences in their 20s to 40s at an average of 5.4 percent, as it introduced the unique topic of voice profiling. It also received a lot of love abroad as it aired in 20 countries in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Currently there are remakes being produced in the United States and Singapore.

In the teaser, scenes of kidnappings, murder, arson, and more flash by. The voice of a woman desperately calling the emergency call center repeats like a broken record, while the words, “The cases to really listen to start now,” flash by. The teaser then confirms that the first episode will air on August 11. Previously, Lee Jin Wook and Lee Ha Na were confirmed as the main leads.

The production staff stated, “After Season 1, writer Ma Ji Won has written realistic stories about the crimes that happen around us, the peril it involves, and how to prevent them. Viewers will be able to experience catharsis as the characters will save victims within the three minutes of golden time amongst serious criminal cases. We are currently hard at work filming. We will return on August 11, please look forward to it.”
