"My Ugly Duckling" Takes Top Spot For Sunday Variety Show Viewership Ratings

“My Ugly Duckling” took first place in viewership ratings of all Sunday variety programs on June 17.

According to Nielsen Korea, the show achieved 16.8 percent and 19.3 percent nationwide viewership ratings in the first and second halves, respectively. This was a 1.5 percent increase in the first half and a 1 percent decrease in the second half compared to the June 10 episode. The episode also achieved first place for viewership ratings with 9.8 percent for audiences in their 20s to 40s, which is widely considered the target audience for broadcasting stations.

KBS’s “Happy Sunday” remained in second place, achieving 9.2 percent nationwide viewership ratings. For viewers in their 20s to 40s, the program achieved 4 percent.

SBS’s “Master in the House” achieved 7.0 percent and 8.5 percent for nationwide viewership ratings. For viewers in their 20s to 40s, the show achieved 6 percent.

MBC’s “The King of Mask Singer” achieved 5.2 percent and 8.3 percent nationwide. For viewers in their 20s to 40s, the show achieved 3 percent.

SBS’s “Running Man” achieved 5.5 percent and 7.2 percent nationwide viewership ratings. For viewers in their 20s to 40s, the show achieved 4.7 percent, which was the highest in its time slot.

KBS’s “Gag Concert” achieved 5.5 percent, while MBC’s “Dunia” achieved 2.8 percent.
