MMO Entertainment To Take Further Legal Action On Behalf Of Wanna One’s Kang Daniel And Yoon Ji Sung
MMO Entertainment has announced that they will be taking further legal action against malicious comments made towards Wanna One members Kang Daniel and Yoon Ji Sung.
On June 18, MMO Entertainment released a statement on their social media account and said, “In 2017, we took legal action against false claims and malicious content made against our artists (Yoon Ji Sung, Kang Daniel). We combined the evidence collected by fans and material collected from our own legal team’s monitoring and filed a lawsuit for violating the Information Communications Network Act (defamation) and contempt with the Seoul Yongsan Police Station’s cyber investigative team on May 31, 2017.”
They continued to state, “Despite this, our artists and even their fans continue to be negatively affected by endless malicious content and false information. We plan to file additional claims for the spread of false information, personal attacks, and online sexual harassment, so we would like to request that fans send in additional information regarding these matters.”
They concluded with, “We plan to continue to take legal action in the case that false information and malicious posts continue to be made. We will do our best to protect the rights and interests of MMO Entertainment artists, and we will continue to update you on our progress. Once again, we would like to sincerely thank you for caring for our artists.”
