Taeyeon has released the music video for “Something New,” the title track of her third mini album.

This is her first release as a solo artist in six months since “This Christmas” from December 2017, and “Something New” is definitely something new for Taeyeon as she takes on the neo-soul genre for the first time.

Instead of a message about love or parting, the lyrics contain a message saying that we should all just do what we want and be the way we are. She sends her support through the lyrics as she says, “You’re special just the way you are. Why does it matter if you’re a little different? You don’t need to change yourself for others. Color the world if the colors you like. I like things just the way they are.”
